Mabel came from a very neglectful situation. The family moved away and left all the cats living in the house with no one to care for them. Many were un-neutered so they began to multiply. On occasion someone would come by and leave food.

Eventually, the person leaving food grew tired of this and simply opened the door and let the 32 adults and 28 kittens run away.

Mabel was lucky. The neighbors called Barn Cats, who called Feral Friends to assist with trapping and foster homes. Luckily, Mabel and several of the adults were friendly and almost all of the kittens tamed down enough to find inside homes.

Mabel is the last adult from the group that is looking for a new home! She is loving, friendly and after a few months at her foster home has started playing and being silly like a young cat should! 
 

Don’t let that look fool you – she is just ready to go home with her new family!!!

She does great with the litter box. She likes to sleep on the bed with you and hang out near you.
